Process Control System Design

Process control system monitors the manufacturing process to process in a manufacturing environment to suit the needs of the use for which it is intended. Effective process control system design requires knowledge based systems that are capable of efficient numeric computation with symbolic reasoning to meet the desired actual product specifications.

Process control system design need to achieve the specified performance criteria to allow the end-product consistently conforms to the pre-designed specifications. The system uses set procedures to control the given process to ensure product quality, worker safety and safety of the environment. For the user to have unique experience, the process needs to factor in a variety of aspects including the integration of people’s experience during the operation process, factoring in the functionality to achieve the intended purpose and how easily it blends with other related systems. In addition, the system should be able to detect faults and act appropriately.
