Temperature Process Control

Temperature process control is of importance in industries and homes; it refers to the process of ensuring a temperature balance in the system through regulating the incoming and outgoing energy. The variable of interest in this case is temperature; it acts as both an input and a controlled variable to be manipulated to obtain a desired condition.

The process of temperature process control starts with identifying the desired temperature to be maintained. This is the temperature which is friendly to a given system; any rise above or fall below this limit will affect the desired results. This is followed by establishing the mechanism to sense and notify the plant engineer or to initiate a process. It consists of tools varying from alarms and sensors which notify of any appropriate action to be taken. The final stage is the temperature control which involves either increasing or reducing heat energy into the system.

Temperature process control is important since it helps to conserve energy and ensure that a desired thermal balance is attained.
